Why is the water level rising near LID19?

October 31, 2017

The Greater Houston region has received an unprecedented amount of rainfall. Sections of LID19 closest to the outfall at Steep Bank Creek are the lowest in elevation and therefore most adversely affected by record-breaking rainwater accumulation.

The drainage system in LID19 is not designed to handle this extraordinary amount of rain. LID operators are doing everything they can to drain water.
