NWS Update September 5th at 11:00 AM
The National Weather Service and Gulf Coast River Forecast Office report that all river levels in Fort Bend County are still falling.
A front with a few showers is expected to move through the state today and early tomorrow. “Based on the current forecast models, we’re not expecting a significant enough amount of rain over Fort Bend County or in the Brazos or San Bernard watersheds to noticeably impact the river levels. It should be completely dry as we get into tomorrow and several days and beyond.” says Dan Reilly, Meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
Residents should continue to monitor the river levels until they drop below action stage, and continue checking http://fbcoem.org for more information about the ongoing response to and recovery from Hurricane Harvey.
