Fort Bend County is not engaging in aerial spraying at this time

September 14, 2017

Fort Bend County has initiated and continues an aggressive ground assault using both adulticide and larvicide products to minimize the mosquito population and threat of disease. Trap counts remain low and no reports of disease carrying mosquitoes from the State DSHS Lab have been received.

Based on these factors, Fort Bend County does not perceive a public health threat at this time and has not engaged in aerial spraying. Fort Bend County will continue to monitor this issue and take the appropriate proactive measures necessary to minimize any emerging threat to Fort Bend County residents.
