Emergency Management Coordination Group (EMCG)

Since 2004, Fort Bend County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management has worked with our local jurisdictions to improve capacity to prepare for and respond to threats and/or disasters in and around Fort Bend County. Previously this collaboration was called the Fort Bend County Coordination Council (FBCCC).

Fast forward to 2019 and we now have revamped this collaboration to have a framework for melding a patchwork of jurisdictional and agency response into a coordinated County response. The 17 jurisdictions in the County, working in concert with health care facilities and school districts, work as a team to prepare for disasters; secure homeland security funding; develop multi-jurisdictional exercise programs; and organize first responder training efforts.
