• At 1248 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. 3 to 4 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
• Some locations that will experience flooding include… Southwestern Rosenberg, Wharton, East Bernard, Beasley, Kendleton, Egypt and Hungerford.
McHard Road Oil Well Incident – Update 2 – Dec 7, 2017

Yesterday evening The City of Houston and Fort Bend County HAZMAT units, Missouri City Fire Department, and Fresno Fire Department responded to an incident at an oil well near the Fort Bend County Tollway and McHard Road. According to initial reports, an incident at an oil well caused petroleum-like odor.
Winds carried the smell across a large portion of the area; it is believed that the smell was from hydrogen sulfide. Total Fire has been conducting air monitoring in the area and has been unable to detect significant amounts of the chemical in the air.
Wild Well Control is responding and should have the well capped by this evening.
Do not call 9-1-1 unless you have a life-threatening emergency.

McHard Road Oil Well Incident – Update 1 – Dec 6, 2017
The City of Houston and Fort Bend County are responding to an incident at an oil well near the Fort Bend County Tollway and McHard Road in southwest Houston. According to initial reports, an incident at an oil well is causing a petroleum-like odor. Winds may carry the smell across a large portion of the area, however, the situation has stabilized, and there is no immediate threat to the public at this time.
The smell may be overwhelming for some individuals. Residents who are sensitive to the odor should remain indoors.
Do not call 9-1-1 unless you have a life-threatening emergency.
