Be ready and stay safe this weekend: cold weather blowing in

January 16, 2019

Fort Bend County Office of Emergency Management wants you to be aware that an arctic front is moving into the County this weekend, bringing very cold temperatures and the possibility of a hard freeze. No wintry precipitation is expected at this time, but everyone should remember to protect the “4 P’s:”

  • People – bundle up and be smart about heater safety
  • Pets – keep pets indoors
  • Pipes – insulate pipes on your house and prepare your sprinkler system
  • Plants – hydrate and cover your sensitive plants.

You can find more information on the Fort Bend County Office of Emergency Management cold/freezing preparedness page.
