After a flood like Fort Bend County saw with Hurricane Harvey, it is critical that those residents using well water get their wells sanitized and tested to be sure the water they are drinking is safe. Even if flood water did not make it into your well, it may become contaminated by neighboring wells allowing flood waters in when the water mixes underground. Flood water contains sewage, chemicals, and contamination that should not be introduced into your drinking water supply.
After disinfecting your water well, you can pick up a sterile sample bottle at one of the following locations:
